Vision Therapy in the Annapolis Valley

Amblyopia, or “lazy eye,” is a vision development problem in which the eyes do not cooperate, often appearing as one eye that does not focus on the same object or drifts in a different direction. The condition is caused by poor vision or vision loss in one of the eyes, but can easily be treated in its early stages with corrective lenses and vision therapy.

Strabismus is when your child’s eye(s) are crossed or turned-out. Usually, this condition is due to weak ocular muscles and poor vision alignment. Vision therapy incorporates exercises to retrain the eyes and the muscles surrounding them.

In addition, vision therapy can significantly help with various eye movement disorders such as binocular vision issues, accommodative disorders, and other visual-perceptual disorders.
